Beaconsfield-based design agency Milestone has just launched its first iphone app for client Daler-Rowney, on the App Store.
A technology first in the fine arts materials industry, the app showcases the full range of Daler-Rowney System 3 acrylic paints and brushes. There’s an exciting painting tool where you can create your own works of art and enter them into monthly competitions to win prizes. There’s also video demos of painting techniques with many hints and tips.
It is suitable for all ages – you don’t have to be a professional artist to have a go. And it’s completely free to download.
Milestone Director Richard Collins thinks more businesses should invest in this technology. “You just need a bit of creative inspiration for bringing your product or service to life on a smart phone. Apps are not that expensive to create. And they can combine fun, functionality, product information, brand awareness and develop stronger relationships with customers.”
Daler-Rowney is a world-leading producer of artists’ materials and has a history going back over 225 years.
2010 is the year of the app. There’s over 130,000 to choose from on Apple’s iTunes App Store and there’s been over three billion downloads since the introduction of the iphone and ipod touch.
