Thames Valley: Property Forum gathers momentum

25 May 2010

Places still available at key Reading conference on June 24.

On June 24 many of the key players from the Thames Valley property sector will assemble at Winnersh Triangle Reading for the fourth property conference to be held in the region by the UK Property Forums

More than a 150 attendees are expected to attend and listen to presentations from the real estate community represented by corporate occupiers (Yell, Oracle, Centrica and HP); developers (SEGRO); the public sector (Bucks County Council, Reading UK CIC); property professionals (Vail Williams, Ibex, Peter Brett Associates) and many more. Other partners and supporters include the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce and CoreNet.

One of the highlights will be the keynote address from David Smith, business section editor and assistant editor of The Sunday Times, who will be using the Thames Valley Property Forum as an opportunity to comment on the government’s Budget announcement which will be two days earlier. This will be a unique opportunity for the delegates to hear from a top commentator on his views on the direction and identity that the Thames Valley should adopt in the changing economic environment.

Conference sessions which the Forum will grapple with will include: the future identity after the demise of the Thames Valley Economic Partnership; the effects of Crossrail after recent announcements by the Mayor of London over the “arms” of Crossrail to Maidenhead; the Thames Valley in the face of the need for urgent government budget cuts; and, finally, the long-term issues created by the cancellation of the third runway at Heathrow. Mix these topics with an exclusive article (free to all delegates) by Roger Madelin, joint CEO of Argent Group, on the future for the business park in the Thames Valley, and the content will be of a very high quality.

The content of the conference and the conference highlights will be captured and circulated to delegates after the event.

Key sponsors include SEGRO, Vail Williams, Oracle and the Bucks Learning Partnership. Registration, at the competitive rate of £125+VAT, can be made online.
