The Corporate team at south coast law firm Coffin Mew has recently advised management on its MBO purchase of the consultancy and classroom training business of Testing Solutions Group for an undisclosed sum.

The Testing Solutions Group is a leading provider of solutions for testing, learning and development, projects and process management and is one of the UK’s largest providers of certification training. It boasts a large blue-chip client base including IBM, Fujitsu, the Bank of England, the Royal Bank of Canada and numerous other clients in the UK, Europe and Australia.

The purchase was driven by the chief operating officer of Testing Solutions Group, Bernard Melson. The business will continue to trade under the Testing Solutions Group brand and from the previous owner’s premises in London.

Amanda Brockwell and Philip Stephenson led the Coffin Mew team in advising on the purchase. Brockwell said: “We are delighted to have assisted Bernard on his purchase. We wish him and his business well and look forward to our continuing association.”
