Henley: HMT advises Octopus on Vyre deal

£1m investment in software business will aid expansion.

 

HMT Corporate Finance, led by partner Andrew Thomson and manager Catherine Lister, advised Octopus Ventures on its investment of £1 million in Vyre from its Capital for Enterprise fund.

Vyre is a software business that specialises in web content and digital media management. Vyre’s main product, Unify, provides sophisticated content management systems designed to build cutting edge websites and increase marketing and branding efficiently whilst driving down costs and speeding up the delivery time, supported by a full professional services offering encompassing design, project management, support and hosting.

In recent years Vyre have succeeded in winning a number of high-profile customers including Diageo, Virgin Holidays, Shell, Nokia and IMG Media.

Paddy Woods Ballard, associate director at Octopus, commented: “HMT provided us with great support during the investment process and effectively highlighted the key issues we needed to be aware of.”

Thomson commented: “We were thrilled to advise Octopus on their investment in Vyre, which will support the company’s expansion plans in this exciting sector.”
