Petersfield: Bluebird Care reports record growth

01 Sep 2010

Care provider continues to offer ‘good, old-fashioned service’ despite challenging economic conditions.

The UK’s foremost care-at-home provider Bluebird Care has reported record growth – with each month’s performance always outshining the last.

Bluebird Care has reported growth of between 10 to 15% each month – with group turnover now approaching £20 million and the company making over one million care visits a year.

Managing director Paul Tarsey said: “Every single month, our monthly figures are better than ever before. Despite our rapid and sustained growth, we are not complacent and have retained our commitment to good, old-fashioned service at all times, while at the same time becoming a modern, forward-thinking company of the 21st Century.

“We are the fastest growing provider of care-at-home in the UK and attribute our success to the depth of experience in our board room, which is second to none within the industry.

“To put our success into perspective, we have care workers calling on customers well over one million times a year – allowing people to stay out of hospital and residential care, and at home where they want to be.”

This flourishing success story started in 2006, when husband-and-wife, Paul and Lisa Tarsey – who have both worked in care for years - operated the first Bluebird Care office from premises in Petersfield. After establishing a successful business model, the company franchised its services, opening 24 offices in their first year. There are now 90 Bluebird Care offices across the UK.

Paul said: “We now have 20 people at our Petersfield base, providing core business support to our 90 offices and promoting ongoing training, to allow our franchise owners to develop strong and successful businesses. We expect to open our 100th office by the end of the year.”
